The tales tell us this: Once, all the peoples of Lim were as one. We were prosperous, powerful, and united. War was a distant memory. We wanted for nothing but love and beauty, both of which we made in plenty.
Then, the Edge split the world in twain. Cleaving through sky and soil like the sword of a titan, its Wound made the ground weep liquid fire. So frightful was the Wound that the sun disappeared behind black clouds and all was night for an entire generation.
